14 Days of Autism Love Giveaway
Day 9: Max ‘N Me Studio

14 Days of Autism Love Giveaway
Ahhhhhh, love is in the air! Can you feel it?

My heart’s beating a little faster because we’re celebrating our love for those on the autism spectrum. Every day, for the next 14 days, I’m going to feature one of our favorite authors, apps, and organizations as a countdown to a huge giveaway of their products. (Now I can feel your heart beating faster too!) Have fun learning about them …and don’t forget to enter the giveaway. (Entry form at the end of this post. Lots of ways to earn extra entries too.)

Day 9: Max 'N Me StudioPeekBehindtheCurtain

Max is 11. He has autism. I’m his mom, McNall. Together we create kids’ books to raise money for charities.

Our Motivation

Max and I use the books to help him learn social skills, philanthropy and business practices like counting money, sales, and marketing.

At age 5 Max was basically non-verbal, not toilet trained, ate a limited diet, wandered off without warning, drank from a bottle and threw raging, uncontrollable temper tantrums for seemingly no reason. At age 11, Max is 100% mainstreamed in a public school with no need for special services, no IEP, no 504-plan. He has friends, rides a bike, participates in social functions and is a miracle of love and hard work.

  1. Awesome giveaways!

  2. These sound like great books, but more importantly, Max sounds like an amazing boy. What a story he has! I am off to learn more about his story and how he made such drastic strides with his diagnosis.
