Geek Club Books is participating in Multicultural Children's Book Day to celebrate diversity awareness in children's books. More specifically, we are advocating for there to be more stories with main characters who are on the autism spectrum. Natasha Moulton-Levy and her son Julian English sent me their book, No Limits: No Boundaries! My Journey Through the ABC’s to review for Multicultural Children’s Book Day. #ReadYourWorld – A Story about Autism and Friendship

It's important...no it's essential that that children's literature embrace diversity. Children will learn understanding and acceptance when they can experience stories about other cultures, people, and traditions. They'll build self confidence when they see themselves represented as characters in stories they read. Multicultural Children’s Book Day!

Children’s reading and play advocates Valarie Budayr from Jump Into a Book and Mia Wenjen from Pragmatic Mom have teamed up to create  today's national event and first-ever Multicultural Children's Book Day!  It's a day to celebrate diversity in children's books.
