Autimism: Autism Through a Photographer’s Lens

Strength. Courage. Believe. Conner.

Bonnie Coulbourne 1

I think that Autism is different to each person and family touched by it. When I hear the word Autism I think of four words…Strength, Courage, Believe, Conner. This picture is of my brother Conner at his niece’s recent cheer competition. To turn around and see him sitting there so relaxed and comfortable when the competition is so loud your soda vibrates—still amazes me. This represents his journey from not being able to sit through Sesame Street live at age 4 through now.
